The Long Beach High School Class of “69” 40th Reunion Celebration is in full swing!

    Dear Classmates,

The year was 1969.......  How about Woodstock and the summer of love. . . political and racial unrest . . . dresses as short as t-shirts . . . Nixon and ‘Nam . . . Mr. Stegman’s Driver’s Ed class . . . Jack Starr’s and Bruce Furst’s hair….   The Class of ‘69 shared a very special time in our country’s history and now, 40 years older and possibly wiser, it’s time for us to reunite and enjoy each other again.   To view more history from   1969   Click here

The 40th Reunion Committee is getting excited about our upcoming celebration—and you will be too when you hear what we're planning. Mark your calendars right now for Saturday night, July 25th, 2009 at 7:pm and imagine yourself at the Lido Golf Club ballroom—which is right next door to the LBHS building we all remember. In addition to this party on Saturday, we're going to offer several optional get-togethers throughout the weekend.

There is much to do at the committee level to get this event off the ground. The first and most important task is to FIND EVERYONE so that we can have the BIGGEST and BEST turnout of any '69 reunion so far. We have a huge head start thanks to Ronnie Librando's Classmates website—he has kept in touch with more than 100 of us over the years.  Plus you all have been responding back to numerous emails helping us track down the missing.  We have collected over 200 emails to date and have over 80 classmates already interested in attending.  Check out the "who will be attending page" to see who has been replying back so far.  PLEASE SEND YOUR NEW CONTACTS TO: Stephen Merola   or  Stephanie Garrison Good   If you are ready to send a check for the upcoming reunion please contact Stephen Merola, just click on his name above.

But we still need to locate more than 200 other 69ers and we need your help. Please look carefully at the MISSING CLASSMATES PAGE. If you've kept in contact with any of them, reply back to us with their e-mail addresses and/or phone numbers. Even if you only know where they're living or the women's married names that will help us. The more clues we have, the easier it will be to track everyone down before next summer.

Now that the web site is up and running, we all have a place to interact and get updates.

Any problems with links, or corrections please contact Ronnie LiBrando    e-mail address     RL48off@cfl.rr.com
